I wasn't sure if I would like this salmon pasta without cream, but I loved it! It turned out light, flavorful, and incredibly delicious.
This 15-minute salmon pasta is perfect for a weeknight dinner, as it pairs well with almost any side dish.

Salmon Pasta Without Cream
I didn't use any cream in this salmon pasta recipe; instead, I used chicken broth, yet the taste and texture are still excellent.
The salmon gives the pasta a rich, buttery taste that indeed elevates the whole dish.
I also topped it with parmesan cheese, so just imagine how delicious this dish will be!
The recipe is super easy and quick; it only takes 15 minutes to be ready!
I highly recommend serving this dish with Vegetarian Sausage Rolls if you plan to make a simple and quick weeknight dinner for your family.

What's in This Recipe?
Dried Pasta. I use Cavatappi. However, you may use any shape of pasta you would like, and you can also use whole wheat pasta or gluten-free pasta.
Salmon Fillets. I use fresh, skinless salmon fillets, which gives this recipe a rich and slightly oily taste. You may use leftover salmon if you have some in the fridge.
Salt and Black Pepper. I use salt and pepper to season the fresh salmon.
Flour. I dredge the fresh salmon in flour before cooking to make it crispy.
Olive Oil. I cook the salmon in olive oil.
Butter. It helps cook the salmon and gives it a delicate touch of taste. You can skip the butter if you want to make this salmon pasta dairy-free.
Chicken Broth. Chicken broth does not only make this recipe healthier but will also add depth of flavor to the sauce formed in the skillet. However, you can use vegetable broth instead if you like.
Fresh Lemon Juice. It enhances the flavor of the pasta, making the whole dish taste more tasty. You can add lemon zest as well for extra lemon flavor.
Garlic. It is one of the best flavoring agents you can use in cooking this pasta.
Fresh Parsley and Parmesan Cheese. I like to garnish my salmon pasta with fresh parsley and Parmesan.

How to Make Salmon Pasta With No Cream

One: Cook the pasta: In a large pot of salted water, cook the pasta to al dente according to package directions, then drain it.
Pro Tip: For best results, before you add the uncooked pasta to the water, make sure that the water is already boiling since starting with boiling water helps to cook pasta more evenly and prevents it from becoming mushy.
Tip: As soon as you put the pasta in the water, you should start stirring it. This keeps the pasta from clumping together.
Two: Now, dry the salmon with a paper towel, then sprinkle it with salt and pepper and dredge it in the flour.

Three: Cook the salmon: Heat both oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the salmon and cook it for about 2-3 minutes on each side; take it out of the skillet and set it aside.
Pro Tip: If you have a thermometer, The internal temperature of cooked salmon is typically 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius), according to the USDA.

Four: Add chicken broth, lemon juice and garlic into the skillet over medium heat and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes; then add the salmon bites back into the skillet and break it up with your wooden spoon into bite-size pieces.
Five: Cook it for a few more minutes until it's fully cooked; toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, garnish with parsley and serve.
