Single serve brownie is perfect when you want a quick dessert for just one. It is rich, fudgy, chocolatey, and ready in minutes.
I also love how simple and easy it is to make with just a handful of ingredients, making it the perfect single serve treat whenever you want something sweet.

Single Serve Brownie
I made brownies with cherry pie filling a while ago, and they were AMAZING. However, the recipe is for a big family, not a single serve.
Today, as I crave brownies, I went with this easy single serve brownie recipe, and I really love how convenient it is. I especially liked that it was just enough for one serving, so there were no leftovers.
Plus, the brownie turned out so chocolaty, fudgy and delicious.
My secret to achieving the best results is not to overmix the batter because that helps keep the texture soft and fudgy.
I also like to use good-quality cocoa powder, as it really gives the brownie a rich chocolate flavor. Another thing I always watch carefully is the baking time. I make sure not to overbake it, so the brownie stays gooey in the centre.
You'll Need

I will give you an overview of all the ingredients I used to make the recipe. Complete information on ingredients and quantities is in the recipe card at the end of the post.
- Butter: I used unsalted butter.
- Brown sugar
- Egg yolk
- Vanilla extract: To add flavor.
- Flour: I used all-purpose flour.
- Cocoa powder: I highly recommend using high-quality cocoa powder for better taste.
- Pinch of salt
- Chocolate chips: I used milk chocolate chips; however, you may use dark or white chocolate chips.
How To Make a Brownie For One
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F / 180C and grease a ramekin or oven-safe mug with butter.

Step 2: In a small bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.

Step 3: Mix in the vanilla extract and the egg yolk until combined.

Step 4: Now, fold in the flour, cocoa powder and pinch of salt until incorporated.

Step 5: Add the chocolate chips and mix.

Step 6: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared ramekin (I like to sprinkle more chocolate chips on top) and bake for 15 to 17 minutes until the center looks set. TA-Dh, it is done!
Tip: Don't overbake the brownies for the best results; otherwise, they will turn out dry, not fudgy, as you want.
Tip: To check if it was cooked, I inserted a small skewer into the center, which should come off clean or with a few cake crumbs.
