Preheat the oven to 176 C/ 350 F and line 8 x 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, whisk brownie mix, eggs, oil and half of the cherry pie filling until combined.
1 box fudge brownie mix, 2 large eggs, 1 can cherry pie filling, ¼ cup vegetable oil
Spread the batter into the baking pan and scatter drop the remaining pie filling over the top; use a toothpick to make swirls of the batter and cherries, and then scatter the chopped chocolate on top.
1 cup chocolate
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Allow to cool before cutting.
Notes
Make sure to remove any air pockets in the batter before baking. You can do this by giving the pan a few gentle whams on the kitchen/table counter.
Do not use a baking pan that is bigger or smaller than the one prescribed in this recipe; this will make your brownies too thin or too dense.
